Medium: Oils, Acrylic (via airbrush and brush), Charcoal, Pen & Ink, Pencil, Scratchboard Etching, Bronze, Silver, and Computer Art.
Style:
I'm involved in too much to really understand what my style is. My goals are to focus on fewer disciplines and narrow my style down.
Ancient Buddha
Inspiration:
I've studied all the great masters of the last 400 years and draw inspiration from many. Lately, Pop artists have pulled my attention as well as the defiant, brillant work of Ron English and have a love/hate relationship with the ideas and work behind Jeff Koons.
Maui Baby Mural
Philosophy:
Work hard, Play hard, Sleep hard. I feel blessed to be able to do what I love for a living and hope to be able to do more painting in the future.
Art Background:
I've been painting and drawing since a child. Art is my first love. Though I'm probably more skilled with drawing, sculpting in bronze is something I've enjoyed the most. Technically, there's not much that matches it. I also love airbrushing. Now my work is primarily done on the computer, though painting is coming back into the picture.
