 Medium: Watercolor. Style: Representational to Abstract Art. Florals, Still Life and Landscape. Technique: Watercolor and acrylic but not mixed together -used as separate media. Watercolor and pastel as a mixed media. Philosophy: Absolute minimal expression and getting to the essence of art which is form and color, plus, an added ingredient of emotion is what I strive to achieve in all my art. Creating color harmony within the piece and it’s environment is a wonderful and exhilarating challenge.

Education and Art Background: BFA in Communication Design, Summa Cum Laude. Successful twenty year career as a graphic artist in NYC. Illustrated four books, designed a line of comforters for Springmaid and numerous consumer products and packaging. Award-winning professional artist. National workshop instructor. Anita Marci Studios established in 1985 as Creative Director and Owner. Birthplace & Migration to Maui: Anita was born in Pennsylvania. After 20 years of employment and independent design experience in New York City Anita sought change in her life. Anita discovered a book entitled “Practical Intuition” that brought about incredible visions and direction to move to Maui. She has since continued to use the skills, found in this wonderful book for guidance. Hobbies: Playing tennis, aerobic dancing, photography for painting inspiration, reading suspense novels, snorkeling, swimming, shooting pool and playing card games. Memberships: Member of Art Maui Board of Directors 2003-05. Co-Chair of Art Maui 2005.Artist Member of Society Of Illustrators. NYC Member Graphic Artist’s Guild.

Anita specializes in custom fine art. She will match the colors of your furnishings and wall colors. Working intimately with you, Anita will develop a concept from start to finish, providing sketches, color samples and even a color study. There are no surprises, only satisfaction.
